What a fun, sweet bit of hurt/comfort. Your descriptions of Arthur's illness and Merlin magically easing him through it and then trying (and succeeding) to cheer his Prince up were lovely.
I am smiling at the image of that snow scene being recreated in Arthur's chambers. Merlin really knows how to jolly his man up.
