My thoughts exactly. Poor Merlin. The last thing he needs is added stress. Arthur really does think he's being suave and helping when all he's doing is adding to Merlin's anxiety. Thankfully, Merlin loves him enough to put up with him.

And yes, it's a really good thing Arthur finally realized just the thing to distract Merlin.
