Author's Notes: This is the first thing that popped into my head and everything else felt forced once it did.
The theater darkens as the Marvel Studios logo flashes across the screen. Heart racing, Merlin makes the classic fake yawn stretch, not casual arm fall over his best friend’s shoulders. He holds his breath. Arthur doesn’t flinch. Doesn’t pull away.
Merlin’s heart is racing, he feels light headed, flushed. He sneaks a side eyed glance at Arthur’s strong profile, stomach flipping at the small, sweet smile he discovers there.
When Arthur’s hand moves to his thigh, Merlin abandons following anything other than the points where they are connected, the movie taking a backseat to maybe, finally getting his heart’s desire.
