“Merlin, I’m hungry! I can’t wait much longer,” Morgana called from the dining room.

“Just a second. I’m adding the garnish,” he replied.

“I’m sure we don’t need the garnish. Let’s eat.”

“I agree.” Merlin walked out holding the dish, brandishing it in front of his very pregnant wife. “What do you think?”

“Oh wow, it does look beautiful. Okay, the garnish totally adds to the dish.”

“I knew it.

Morgana grinned. “Just serve it up, chef.”

“You got it.”

Merlin served up two portions on their plates. Morgana eyed it like it was manna in heaven then dug in. She wasted no time in telling Merlin how good it was. “You might have missed your calling,” she commented.

“No, I think I’m right where I need to be. With you and our child.”

“You keep that up and you might just get lucky tonight.

“I will try.” Merlin grinned and they continued eating their dinner. Later that night, Merlin went to sleep with a smile on his face.
