Merlin stumbled in and without saying a word, he dropped his backpack and kicked off his shoes before he just face-planted on the couch.

Arthur had looked up and watched the entire scene. He knew that Merlin was busy at work and that the new project just didn’t go as it was supposed to as some of the key-players just didn’t seem to understand the basics. He had heard all about it, but never before had Merlin been such a wreck when he came home.

Without saying a word, he got up, got Merlin’s favorite blanket, spread it over him and went to the kitchen to make him a tea.

When he put some cookies on the saucer, he hoped that they would revive Merlin’s spirits and also that this stupid project would be finished soon.
