Prompt # 4 Surrender

Ending our month with another “S” word, this week prompt is Surrender

The rules are simple.
1.] All drabbles/arts must follow the prompt.
2.] All pairings, rating, or genre, are allowed. Everything will be accepted, as long as it contains the prompt in some form.
3.] All drabbles/art must be posted on Tuesday, May 1st by 9 PM Eastern/Standard Time. This allows you three days to complete your drabble or art.

To sign up just comment on this post. Sign-ups will end Saturday at 10 AM Eastern/Standard Time. Names will be added to the list throughout the day.

Author's Notes: 
i) I am aware chess wasn't really the game we know now until the late 15th century/very early Renaissance, but since Merlin is sooooo historically accurate anyway, I took liberties.
ii) I wasn't planning on this fic to be dialogue only. I first wrote the dialogue with every intentions to fill up the text afterwards, but somehow all my attempts at doing so fell flat and felt wrong. Even I know when to surrender (ha!) to the pesky gods of writing ;)
