Author's Notes: My first real 100-word drabble, based on one of the initial scenes in Season 1 Episode 1 "The Dragon's Call." Hopefully this will get me back into writing on a regular basis. Thank you to inspired_being for beta'ing this drabble.

It was beyond comprehension. Her son was dead; beheaded on an evil tyrant's command. Her sobbing soul cried out with a tormented wail--never to see him smile again, never feel his gentle, loving kiss on her forehead again. For what? Uther's hatred and fear of simple magical enchantments? This had cost her son his life.

Her grief steeled itself into a rage, smouldering at first, before catching fire with her pain. The desire for revenge fuelled the fire higher. Finally a firestorm of wrathful hatred burst forth.

No matter what had to be done, Uther would pay for this.
