Author's Notes: Here's a quick follow up to the last post in this series.
Merlin is walking Clyde when his cell buzzes. The dog continues on, determined to keep Merlin moving. It doesn’t work.
“I’m on to you,” he tells the dog, pulling on Clyde’s leash until he collapses on the path. Merlin ignores his glare.
“Morning, Morgana.”
“Arthur did not get that bruise playing football,” she states.
Merlin pauses, “He didn’t?”
“He got it doing something humiliating and you need to tell me what it is so I can mock him forever,” she says matter of factly.
Merlin doesn’t hesitate. “You can mock me, instead. I tripped over Clyde and took Arthur down with me,” he lies.
Arthur can thank him later.
