Author's Notes: I should request a cheese tag.

They were snuggled under the blanket Hunith had knit for Merlin’s last birthday. It was warm and soft as kittens and covered them both with some to spare. Merlin’s head rested on Arthur’s shoulder and Arthur wondered if he was still awake. As though in answer, Merlin yawned.

Arthur turned toward him, rubbing his face in soft hair before their lips met. A sharp spark made them jerk apart.

“Ow!” Merlin’s eyes were startled as he rubbed his lips and smiled. “I knew we had chemistry but I guess we have electricity, too.”

“That’s awful.” Arthur couldn’t help smiling, too.
