Gwen ran to catch up with Merlin after lunch. “Merlin, hey, Merlin!”

Merlin slowed to a stop to wait for her. “Gwen, what’s going on?”

Once she caught up, they started walking together. “Are you really that oblivious?” she asked.

“What are you talking about?”

“You didn’t see Morgana looking at you for almost the entire lunch hour?”

“Her? Looking at me? If only.”

Gwen grinned. “You like her?”

“What male with a pulse wouldn’t?”

“What if I told you that she likes you too?”

Merlin stopped short. “You’re joking.”

“No, she told me yesterday. She likes you and you have to do something about it, because she probably won’t.”

“You’ve got to be kidding me. She’s too shy to talk to me? She’s so outgoing.”

Gwen touched his arm. “Not when she really likes someone. And she really likes you.”

“Wow.”

“So are you going to do something about it?”

“I’ll talk to her. I’ll talk to her today.”

Gwen squeezed his arm. “Good on you, Merlin. And good luck.” She started walking away. “See you later!”
