Merlin felt Arthur shudder. "Hm?“ He looked up at him.
“Nothing. Just remembered the hellscape we manage to escape from.”
Merlin snuggled closer to Arthur and pulled the fur over their shoulders. He didn’t say anything for a while. “We’re here now.” He took a deep breath. “And we probably wouldn’t if we hadn’t been there.”
He looked at Arthur again. It had been a close call and they barely managed to get out which led to them finally admitting their feelings for each other.
“Looks like there’s a good thing to every bad situation, too.” Arthur kissed Merlin’s forehead.
