Summary: One knight sees through Gwaine’s persona

Author's Notes: It’s been a while, but I did it. I wrote something… albeit a bit late xP
Gwaine knew his fellow knights admired his care free attitude, but there was more than one reason why he got totally plastered as often as he could. There were reasons he tried to make everything as little hearted as possible. The main one being that he didn’t want anyone to know those reasons.
He didn’t want anyone to know how he was truly insecure.
He envied them all.
And it was one night at the tavern when his cool and calm persona showed its cracks. And it was one knight at the tavern who saw the cracks and didn’t care.

Gwaine learnt that being plastered and showing cracks meant there were ways for people to break through your walls.
He was strong and so were his walls, but they weren’t so strong as to keep Percival out. He envied the knight’s strength. He felt it as Percival pulled him, with sizeable arms, into a broad chest. He felt it in the knight’s heart beat against his ear.
No words were spoken but the message was clear. Percival saw through him to the insecurities and he didn’t care. He didn’t think any less of him.
The kiss said, I love you.
