Hello Drabblers and Drawablers,

Are you excited for our 3^rd Holiday Exchange at camelot_drabble? We sure are! We are working on the schedule and other things, so be on the look out for it.

During the last 2 years, we the mods would pair up the participants and email/PM them with the gifts they will be giving. This year we have an idea and we need your opinion on it. We were thinking of making a anonymous post with all the participants prompts. They have the participants themselves choose which gift they would like to give. All comments would be screen of course and once your gift is done we'll give you your participants screen name. That way whom your writing/drawing for stays a secret.

Alas I go on vacation right around that time so I never sign up. I do like the idea of people picking the prompts they'd like to write rather than getting paired up.

I like the pick a prompt idea, though I wonder how well it would work for whoever was the last to pick, as presumably then there would only be one left?

I like the idea of picking prompts, except for the fact that someone(s) could get stuck writing something they're incredibly uncomfortable with if they can't get into it toward the end. Maybe people leave multiple ideas in a single request and we can pick one?

Hmm...on one side, I really like the new idea. Then again...in past years (here or at other fic exchange things) I got a few prompts that I couldn't work with at all. So I was rather happy that people threw a few prompts at me, so at least I had an option.

If the new way means just submitting one prompt, it might not get picked? And what if you can't be there for prompt claiming and 'end up' with a prompt you just can't work with?

I'm fully aware that this matching up is a lot of work for you guys, so I understand that the change would be a bit easier for you.

I've picked the "keep it as it is" because I like the surprise effect of these kind of secret santa.

Though, the new idea can be fun, too with the only downside that the people who would come last would not have a choice...

I voted for keep it as it is because I'm a bit worried that the new version could mean that somebody doesn't get anything. (Plus: If the comments are screened people don't know what person already have something and what other person didn't have something so far. {Or did I only misunderstand this here a bit?})
