The engine was dead, to begin with. There was no doubt whatever, about that.

Gwaine Finn had a big grin on his face. There was nothing he liked better than a challenge, and the vintage TR-7 that had been towed to his shop definitely looked like it would be a good one.

The car belonged to the local lifestyle entrepreneur Morgana Pendragon, and was her pride and joy. She could afford to pay top dollar, too.

Just a reminder that posting for this year Holiday Exchange Fest will start on Friday, December 24^th until Monday, December 27th. You have received your posting date in the comment of this post!
If you have any problem posting on your assigned date, an amnesty day will be set for the 28th. You'll be able to post then!

Your story must be emailed to the mods prior to the posting date so that you could receive your recipient’s name. Email: camelotdrabble@gmail.com. When submitting your gift, please write your LJ user name in the subject line. We will then check your gift and reply back with your recipient's name.

We have 11 participants in this year Holiday Exchange Fic! Like previous years, we are going to spread out the posting dates.
Therefore, we'll have 3 posting dates:

With these posting dates we'll have between 2 to 3 posts a day.

I hope you are excited for our Annual Camelot Drabble Holiday Exchange Fest!!

Today's December 11th, this means that you must check in just to let us know that everything is ticking over fine! To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we must insist that everyone that is participating with us checks in. We don’t want to be SURPRISED by any last minute drop outs – and would appreciate a heads up, so we can find pinch-hitters in time.

Please check in by leaving a comment on this post (comments will be screened).

Just to let you know, it's mandatory to check in, if you do not, you will be considered "dropped out."

Also, you must let us know by December 15th if you are unable to participate, so we have enough time to get a pitch-hitter so no one is left without a gift!

As you all know, everyone loves to get gifts, and in this community, we like to make someone happy by giving a gift. It's what the holiday season is all about. With that in mind, we thought about playing Santa ;)!

Is there a fic that you just love to read or an image you would love to see come to life and tantalize your senses?? Well here's your chance and you don't even have to write a letter to Santa. Just sign up for our Tenth Camelot Drabble Gift Exchange, leave your prompt, and (one of Santa's elves in the form of a lovely fellow drabbler, or drawbler) will create it for you! It's all anon until your gift is posted. You'll get a gift and you'll give one in return!

All work must be beta'd for this Fest!

This is a gift exchange fest, please keep your recipient a secret! Don't go ruining the surprise!

Drabbles, in our comm, are anything from 100-1000 words, however for this exchange drabbles must be at least 1,200 words. If you want to write more, you can but no more then 5k, strictly.

If you are drawing please adhere to these rules:

The drawing must be new and not posted anywhere.

Drawing must be complete.

As always, your work must follow the Prompt, be particularly attentive to your recipient's dislikes!
